In most cases, children who demonstrate angry behavior are doing so because they do not yet know how to express themselves verbally. Tantrums, including hitting, breaking and/or throwing objects, self injury or injury to others with little apparent connection to the source of the anger, are definite signs of non-verbalized anger in a child. More mild feelings of anger can be demonstrated by similar negative behaviors yet are more directly focused on the source of displeasure or anger. |
